We preach happiness by placing smiles on the faces of children!
The Birth of Little Big Smiles
The Little Big Smiles Foundation officially came to birth in 2014 under the name Helping Hand as a simple idea of a Christmas party. It had been an idea that one of our Founders Diana N., had had in mind for a number of years. She however had not had the chance and support to put the idea into action. It was until December of 2014 that the idea struck of having a friends meet up and party which instead of having it at a resort it would be held at Nanyuki Children’s Home. She reached out to two of her childhood friends, Rachel Karanja and Esther Kairu executing an amazing Christmas party for over 80 children with only a budget of 13,000 KS.
We not only received great response from friends and family who encouraged us to continue giving back to community but also did we receive great personal fulfilment year knowing we were putting spreading a positive message of happiness. Every year after 2014, we have managed to throw Christmas parties and execute projects and various children Homes with money and funding that we receive from Well-wishers, friends and Family.
As we grew, matured and gained confidence in what we did, we realised a need to change our name from Helping Hand to The Little Big Smiles in 2016. We continue putting smiles on the faces of our friends, not only those we support but also those that support us.
